The Fine Print of McPhail Fine Art:

How do I determine the size of my McPhail Fine Art Print? – The physical size of the individual pieces are determined by the "Print Option."  For example, if you choose a 12" x 16" giclee canvas print, you will receive a professional quality canvas reproduction that is 12 inches wide and 16 inches tall.  

Paper prints appear to be 2" wider than canvas prints of the same pieces.  Why? – All paper prints are produced with a one inch (1") blank border.  This allows for various framing and matting options.  This increases the overall width and length of each paper print by two inches (2").

Since paper prints require framing, under glass, the extra border allows for a broader range of options, and happier customers. 

Do I have to place my McPhail Fine Art paper print under glass? – By its nature, even the best quality paper isn't as durable as canvas stocks.  Since accidents happen, framing under glass is strongly recommended.

Also, as much as we want our customers and recipients to be happy, we can't assume responsibility for prints that are handled or framed in an improper manner.   

Why don't the giclee prints require glass? – Our giclees (pronounced zhe-clay) are gallery quality from the stretcher bars to the canvas, printed with professional grade, pigment based inks, and sealed with a protective, UV resistant, coat that gives them a durability comparable to an original painting.  This added level of protection allows them to be framed without glass, or even hung directly on the wall without need of a frame.

Of course, one should still take care as not to gouge, tear, or puncture the surface.  

Shipping:  Please allow 1 to 2 weeks for delivery of your McPhail Fine Art Print.  That said, we typically ship all orders within 5 days, and often within 48 hours if items are in stock.

Are prints signed & numbered? – Limited edition giclees and paper prints are signed and numbered as indicated.  Open edition prints are not.  

Can a special wish or personalized greeting be added? - Yes, within reason.  Greetings such as, "To John, Happy Birthday," can be added.  

Can a signature be added to an open edition?  - It is possible to arrange to have an open edition print signed - but it will not be numbered.  Please contact us for additional details regarding signatures and special messages.  

Returns:  We are confident that you will be fully satisfied with the quality of your McPhail Fine Art Print.  However, should you be at all dissatisfied with your purchase you may return it for a full refund (minus shipping costs) within 30 days of the shipping date.  Please contact us or additional information.
